Message from Aniko Bartfai, Scientific Committee Chair

The theme of the 13th meeting of the Nordic Neuropsychological Societies is “The Plastic Brain – Changes in Brain, Cognition and Behaviour – from basic neuroscience to clinical applications within pediatric and adult neuropsychology”.

The program will give insights and state- of- the art knowledge in a wide range of topics from the latest scientific achievements within the area of brain plasticity, language disorders, advanced neuroimaging in neuropsychology to highly important clinical issues, such as diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental disorders, effects of pain and PTSD on cognition. A plenary discussion will give an opportunity for participating clinicians to discuss issues related to the implementation of evidence based knowledge into clinical practice. A special session is devoted to networking to promote contacts and collaboration between clinical practitioners and researchers in the Nordic countries.

Our aim is to bring together researchers and clinicians in child and adult neuropsychology for fruitful interaction. To further this theme, we welcome abstract submissions for poster or oral presentations that align with the meeting theme and advance the clinical neuropsychological field. We encourage submissions that offer insights into cognitive and affective aspects of healthy and disease states, diagnostic issues, neuropsychological treatment, and rehabilitation approaches. Contributions from PhD students, and clinical neuropsychologists participating in specialist education are warmly welcome!

We hope you will join us for an exciting program as well as the many social and networking activities that are abundant in Stockholm. We look forward to seeing you in Stockholm!!
